The PA CareerLink® Luzerne County office at Wilkes-Barre is hosting a mini transportation and logistics industry job fair Wednesday, October 27th, 2021 from 10 AM-2 PM. Job seekers can stop by the Wilkes-Barre office, located at 32 E Union Street, to learn about open positions and apply with hiring managers the same day.
The fair will feature representatives from DHL, FedEx, Abarta Coca-Cola, and Adidas. Individuals can explore a variety of positions within the transportation industry including operations managers, CDL drivers, package handlers, forklift operators, and more. Job seekers will have their resumes reviewed on-the-spot, and be able to ask questions related to company benefits, culture, and position requirements.
Business Services Representative, Chris Melnick, explains that the mini job fair is a unique opportunity for job seekers, “Normally our events focus on a single employer. We’re hoping this new event will provide greater convenience to job seekers by having multiple employers within a specific industry available for them to either continue down or even start a new career path. This smaller-scale job fair may be a better fit for those who may find themselves overwhelmed at larger, similar events.”
