On Tuesday, September 12th, the PA Department of Labor & Industry is observing PA CareerLink® Day in Wilkes-Barre, located at 32 E. Union St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701. Our goal is to encourage anyone who is unemployed or underemployed to join the workforce in PA. To celebrate, the PA CareerLink® Luzerne/Schuylkill Counties we’ll be hosting a series of events throughout the day to highlight how our programs and services help job seekers and community members alike, whether it be training and education to advance along your career pathway or 1:1 job search assistance.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee has developed a brand new series for young women in our community. The “You Go Girl” Series: Life Skills for Young Women meets once per month throughout the year. The next session will be held on Thursday, February 25, at 3:30 pm. The series will cover a wide range of topics including budgeting, mindfulness, career counseling, creating a vision, and interview skills.
The PA CareerLink® REAL Reentry Program began a virtual coffee talk series to better connect with community partners and meet with potential new participants. During these virtual meetups, get to know the REAL reentry team as they share about their program and services while facilitating group discussion.
Starting next week, on Thursday, January 14th from 11 AM to 12 PM, the program kicks off the 2021 series in partnership with POUR Coffee House in Wilkes-Barre.
